When you give only your off ering, you will not have any land to plant your seeds. Thus others will benefi t from it. Maybe the birds, or the rats, or someone else’s land.
How does Luke 6:38, which says “For with the same measure that you mete withal it shall be measured to you again” apply?
Here’s an illustration:
Lets say these are the measures, or containers you _____, for your offering, which in this case is water:
Situation #1 If you choose the teaspoon as your measure for the offering, the blessing you will receive according to Luke 6:30 will be:

Situation #2 If you choose the pitcher as your measure, this will be the blessing you will receive:

LUKE 6:36

Therefore, it is YOU who will determine how the Father will bless you.
Where should I bring my tithes?
To the place that the Father has chosen, and not just any place. Deutoronomy12:13-14 says:
“Take heed to thyself that thou off er not thy burnt off erings in every place that thou seest: But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt off er thy burnt off erings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.”
The place that the Father has chosen in these last days is the New Jerusalem. He has chosen it because it is where His Son is. It is where His Temple is found. The Son is the Father’s temple. This is the Father’s storehouse for His seed, the storehouse referred to in Malachi 3:10.
Are we really required to give?
Yes, because it is in obedience to the Father’s commands, as stated in the verses above.
Tithing teaches us one very important spiritual principle: It’s called the Mystery of detachment. It teaches us not to be attached to anything else except the will of the Almighty Father.
It also teaches us the Spirit of Meekness, which is essentially declaring that everything we have does not belong to us, but it belongs to the Father. Matt hew 5:5 says, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”
WORDS OF THE SON:
If you want to be blessed like me, be like me. |
