The past will become irrelevant, “If anyone be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold all things are become new,” 2 Corinthians 5: 17.
Maturity in the Spirit yields to Spiritual Excellence
Though we already have the righteous seed, what the Father truly wants is for us to grow up in maturity. We must grow up spiritually. Our spirit must also be excellent. Excellence in the spirit is when we become responsible and accountable. We face up to obligation, we face up to responsibility, as a matured son and daughter and we are accountable of what we do. That is what the Father is teaching us—that in anytime the Father sends us for a mission, we are accountable in what we do.
That is why everything that we do must be according to the Father’s will. Maturity is when we stand accountable in everything that we do. That is what is excellent in the spirit—we do not only grow in the spirit, we become excellent in the spirit.
What does being excellent in the spirit mean?
Excellence in the spirit means that you are full of the fruits of the spirit. There is no place for worry in the Kingdom. There is no reason for us not to att ain excellence in the spirit. Neither is there a reason for us to defend for ourselves. We do not have to be defensive in order to protect ourselves. If we are mistreated, the Almighty Father will defend for us.
All that we need to do is be fi lled with the fruits of the holy spirit. It is bett er to be mistreated and remained obedient for this would mean that you are genuine. But if you get back at someone who has mistreated you, you will be set aside in the Kingdom. It is useless that we protect ourselves. All we have to do is walk on the path of righteousness and remain obedient to the Father’s will and the Father will bless us.
We must be excellent in the spirit. The fruits of the spirit must be refl ected in our lives. In the Kingdom, the rule is the fruits of the spirit. The more that the fruit of the spirit is seen in us, the more that the Father will bless and trust us. That is being excellent in the spirit.
Furthermore, we must always be contented in everything that the Almighty Father has given to us. Everything that happens here in the Kingdom are all the will of the Father. The Father knows everything that is happening in the Kingdom, it is all connected to the Father. The Father knows all our needs. He knows what we deserve to receive. Our primary concern is to always be excellent in our obedience to the will of the Father. It will only be then when the Father will bless us.
No room for mediocrity, mismanagement of time, laziness, irresponsibility and filthiness
Mediocrity is not allowed in the Kingdom. Anything that is not excellent is not allowed in the Kingdom. We must try our very best in bringing out the most excellent result in everything that we do. That is when the Almighty Father will be glorifi ed in us.
Sons and daughters must likewise master time management. We must learn how to budget our time effi ciently. We must be responsible in managing our time. Here in the Kingdom, we cannot aff ord to lose time because every time counts especially when the Father asks us to do so much things.
Time is nothing to Filipinos. This old Filipino mentality must be taken out from us. Kingdom citizens are Filipinos with the new mentality which gives value to time and spends it wisely.
As sons and daughters, our minds must be awakened. It is not that we cannot do it. It all depends in our faith. Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” If we condition our mind that we cannot do something, our mind will surely not do it because, we are the ones who command our mind what and what not to do.
Furthermore, the problem among Filipinos is that they have the spirit of laziness, irresponsibility and fi lthiness. Filipinos have the Cinderella mentality. He wants other to serve him but he does not want to serve others. As long as his needs are being att ended, he is pleased but he does not want to do menial tasks such washing clothes and dishes, and sweeping the fl oor when in the Kingdom, such tasks are basic and are being done by everybody.
When it comes to cleanliness, we master that, we are excellent in that aspect. We no longer have to be taught in that aspect. We are industrious. We will not lose anything if we are industrious but if we are lazy, we will lose everything. The Almighty Father will not bless lazy people. Proverbs 12:24, “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.” Laziness, like irresponsibility, is a part of the spirit of poverty.
1 Corinthians 14:40, “Let all things be done decently and in order.” In the Kingdom, the Almighty Father teaches us decency and orderliness in everything that we do. We must be responsible in everything be it litt le , be it great—in all aspects in cleanliness and in carrying out the ministry that the Father entrusted to us because if the Father sees that we can be trusted in litt le things, time will come when He will eventually entrust great things in our hands. Because if the Father sees that we cannot be trusted even in litt le things, He will never entrust great things to us. Here in the Kingdom, excellence is in the spirit. Maturity happens in the spirit.
