At first glance, America is known as the, “Land flowing with milk and honey,” the land of opportunity and the American Dream, where people can live with life, liberty and freedom. However, as the Appointed Son of God has revealed, America is truly rich in opportunity and financial gain, essentially rich in material things, but poor in the things of the Spirit. People have no time for the Father. They have no true peace and contentment in their life.

But the Father changed all of that by sending His Son in these last days. Through the Son, the good now reigns on the throne and evil has no more power. Through him, the Father has shown us that there is no other way to salvation, but through the Son. The only Way to true freedom in America is the Son.

The Father’s work in the United States began in the 1990’s. At that time the work of the Father was already thriving in the Philippines under the banner of Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name. As the Father had promised His Son, “I have people all over the world. When they hear your voice they will come, because My sheep know My voice,” and “wherever you go you will be blessed.” Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy entered into uncharted waters to begin a new battle in one of the strongholds of the devil, America.

It all started in a little known city called Hesperia, in the High Desert of California. Here the work would thrive and produce seeds for the Father’s pioneering work in the United States.

Little did my family know that the move from the busy city life of Los Angeles to the serene, humble and quiet city of Hesperia was all the Father’s orchestration. This is where my family met the Son of God.

I came to know the Kingdom through television. The program that I saw was the Hour of Truth, which aired every Sunday and was broadcast on KHIZ-64, a local TV channel in Hesperia, which also covered Victorville, Apple Valley and Adelanto. In the episode I first saw, Pastor Apollo was preaching to the congregation in Hong Kong. For a month, we watched Pastor’s program every Sunday and regularly attended Sunday Thanksgiving Worship Presentations in a garage which was converted into a worship place.

Then Pastor Apollo came to America. My life was not the same again.

Soon after, Sis. Ingrid C. Canada, now the Kingdom’s International Administrator, arrived to officially establish America, and to find a Pastoral House. For five years as the only Kingdom worker in the United States, Sis. Ingrid administered the work of the Father. It would be registered, the first worship center would be rented and the first Pastoral House would be purchased in Apple Valley, California.

It was during this time that I had my first ministry. I was eight years old when I was entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of the projector slides during and after the TWP.

By the time I was 10, I learned the keyboard and began playing Kingdom music. This would be the ministry that would deepen my relationship with the Father through the Son. I learned responsibility, discipline and the standard of the Son in worshipping in Spirit and in truth. I learned that no matter how talented you are, your praise and worship will not be accepted unless you are truly repented and your spirit is not in line with the Father through the Son. I also learned that playing for your own glory and not for the glory of the Father is not pleasing to Him.

From 1990 to 1993 the Father’s work would remain in Hesperia. Bible studies would be conducted from the home of Bro. Eleno Laranas, who remains a faithful worker of the Kingdom to this day. Before the Kingdom was able to find a Pastoral house, Pastor Apollo stayed with Bro. Ely whenever he was in America. While in his room in Bro. Ely’s house, he received encounters with forces of darkness and dream revelations.

In one of them, there was a black hairy hand, holding a cage of people, would be cut off by the Son.

There were two incidents where a demon came to bother Pastor Apollo, who was not yet officially declared by the Father as His Son. While he was asleep in his room, a demon made his presence known and took hold of his feet, picked him up and swung him in a circle. Pastor rebuked him and he let go of Pastor’s leg. The figure was thrown back to where he came from, by the power of the Son.

In another dream revelation, the devil of America was a lizard-like creature with a body full of scales, like armor, but with the face of a white man. In the dream, preachers and ministers and famous people were throwing stones at the creature but he would not stop.Until the Son rebuked him. The creature, shocked, made a full stop, looked at the one who rebuked him, and pointed his finger to him.

Later, the thanksgiving and worship presentations would move to a rented worship place in the city proper of Victorville, where worship was held from 1993 to 1996.

In 1996, it was revealed that Jesus Christ was the King of kings and the Lord of lords in the Philippines and the whole world and the ministry was to be called the Kingdom of JESUS CHRIST the Name Above Every Name, King of kings and Lord of lords. The place of worship was once more moved. This time it was in downtown Victorville, at the Springhouse Community Center.

By 1998, the work had expanded even more. There were already many souls who had entered into the Kingdom. By this time the congregation was worshipping every Sunday at the Philippine Village Center in Eagle Rock, California.

In 2000, Sis. Teresita Dandan arrived and became the Coordinator of the work of the Kingdom in the United States. Eventually, the Kingdom acquired a workers’ house in Wawona, still in Eagle Rock.

During the next few years, the work of the Father would go through important changes. It was during this time that Pastor Apollo had a program on Radio Manila. He had many listeners; many of them were Filipinos.

I was still in the music ministry when Sis. Merlin T. Dandan arrived and became musical coordinator. I would learn a lot from her about music, especially from the spiritual side. I learned to truly play with the Spirit and feel the presence of the Father. When playing, I had to be the first to feel the presence of the Father because if I didn’t, then the people won’t either. I was taught what true worship is and how to lead people in worship. I discovered what it meant to be a musician whose life and talent is dedicated for the Father’s use and glory alone.

During the next few months new branches were opened in the city of West Covina and the City of Carson. Afternoon thanksgiving and worship presentations would be held in these places every other Sunday. The Father also revealed that 70,000 souls would come into the Kingdom in America.

In the years to come, a worship was established in the Airtel Plaza Hotel in North Hollywood and in the city of Carson. By 2002, the work of the Father would move to the Temple Community Center in downtown Los Angeles. The only strength of the members and the workers as we continued to serve the Father were the words, revelations, fellowship of the Father through our Beloved Pastor. We eagerly awaited all the VHS tapes of Pastor’s preaching from the Philippines. These fed the Father’s people in America. Without these I don’t know how we would have survived all the trials and temptations that came our way.

During one seminar/bible study with the Son, I remember him saying, “You all will be little pastors one day and would be the one teaching the people.” From that time on, I said to myself, I want to be like him someday. However, I did not know how this would happen because I was shy and not very used to socializing, especially about spiritual matters.

But the Father taught me how to grow and change. I became more vocal and learned how to share through various fundraising activities in Eagle Rock, Carson City and West Covina. As a young person in Kingdom, the Kingdom Standard of Living and Doctrine became ingrained in my heart and soul. In school, friends would begin to change for the better and respect my beliefs.

Finally, in May 2004, the Kingdom established its North American Headquarters in the city of Van Nuys, California. This was facilitated by the advent of the Kingdom Broadcasting Network, which was broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to North America through Globecast World TV, and the entrance of many members into the full-time ministry.

I was on my third year at the California Polytechnic University in Pomona, California then, taking up electrical engineering. I had begun to contemplate on the course my life was taking. I had entered into my valley of decision: was I to pursue my father’s plan for me to become an electrical engineer and to have a family or choose the path less taken, less traveled, and fully give in to God’s will, which was to my own understanding, uncertain in its path and details? Together with my sister, I decided to give my life to the full-time work of serving the Father through the Son. I officially became a full-time worker after the 5th International Youth Congress, where I heard the Son preach this message: “Who Should Not Serve the Lord.”

During the succeeding months, the entire congregation set out to reconstruct and remodel the Kingdom of Jesus Christ Worship Center Compound, which housed a Sanctuary Worship Center, Worker’s House and a mini Pastoral house. Other young people in LA went into the full-time ministry, among them Sisters Agnes Odulio and Karen Lazo and Bro. John Lazo.
