He Prepared Himself a Body
Before the Son of God was sent to the Jewish people, they could only hear His voice. They couldn't hear Him, that's why He prepared a body. And that body was the body of Jesus Christ that was prepared so that the Word of God could become the Son of God; and so that He would have a life of His own in the body of the Son.
The life in that body is a life that is free of the serpent seed. Although He lived in the flesh and looked like us, talked like us, moved like us, and experienced life like us, as human beings-His life was totally dedicated to the will of the Father. It was free of the serpent seed.
The Son of God in the Jewish setting, Jesus Christ, showed them that He was the kind of Jew that the Father wanted. Jesus Christ's body was what the Father could call His Son. He told the Jews to follow Him, because He was the only one that could please the Father.
But instead of them knowing the spiritual meaning of the coming of the Son of God, they envied Him. They became loyal to their religion, because they wielded power over the people as priests and high priests.
For as such, they were the guardians of the temple. And those positions were dear to them because of the power and prestige they had as the guardians to the eternal life of the people of God. They didn't want to let go of all of that, because if they believed the Son of God, who was the only one pleasing and acceptable to the Father, their religion and positions will be phased out. They will lose the prestige that they had among the people. It will be the Son of God, Jesus Christ that will be followed.
They couldn't take and accept that, although they knew that this man came out without sin. He only came to do what was good, acceptable, and what was the will of the Father.
If they accepted the Son of God in the Jewish setting, they would have been the example of the Father's completion of man's salvation today. But they did not. That is why the offering of the Son is the only pleasing and acceptable offering to the Father.
The Son in the Jewish setting, Jesus Christ, was a body free of the serpent seed. He was free of His human will, because His will was always subject to the will of the Father. It was committed to the Father's will. That is what the Father was now seeking after.
