In his King is Coming Tour-Canada, the Appointed Son of God, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, strode through five Canadian provinces, bringing deliverance to those bound by sin and firmly establishing kingdom sentinels in those areas. His preaching flooded each of these cities with light, bringing into noonday clarity the deception wrought by the multiplication of the serpent seed in fallen man.

The Kingdom’s work in Canada started in the mid-90s in Vancouver, and swelled to many cities across what is considered the second largest country in the world, by total land area.

The keen reception by the Canadian people – a varied mix of cultures and races and sensibilities - was unmistakable ---venues were tightly packed with thousands of Kingdom citizens who have waited in joyful anticipation for the Son’s march through Canadian soil – and people from all walks of life and cultural persuasions – who found truth and sincerity in his preaching of the revelations from the Almighty Father, something they never encountered in the denominations and religions they belonged to. For the first time encountered the sweet presence of the Almighty Father, despite years of serving in their respective churches.

“People today in Canada hunger for fresh and clear insights into scriptural verses that have never been explained to them before, even by their own religious leaders; they want to know how they can truly be saved! So many here long to be lifted out of the spirit of depression that stalks so many people here inspite of having all the conveniences of life,” Sis. Mariteo Canada, Coordinator of the Kingdom’s Canada Chapter, explained. “The Son gave them hope, life, and a clear way back to the Father. And they acknowledge that he is that way.”

British Columbia: Surrey and Vancouver

The Kingdom’s Vancouver Chapter was the first to be established, as faithful Kingdom citizens from Hong Kong who moved to Vancouver began to share the preaching of Pastor Apollo to people they met in bus stops.

Those who were first invited, who remain active and faithful Kingdom citizens to this day, continued to invite more and more people – sharing tapes of Pastor Apollo’s preachings, even as they continued to work on a full-time basis in various jobs. Their faithfulness has been rewarded for the work prospered. Workers’ houses were established. And with the work in Canada so young, Pastor Apollo already came to Canada in 1997 to first preach to a full house of visitors in the first Thanksgiving and Worship Presentation to be held in Canada.

Through the years, the Kingdom’s work expanded to neighboring cities, with Toronto and Canada’s capital city – Ottawa - becoming the bulwarks of the Kingdom’s work in the province of Ontario. Missionary workers were sent to other cities – Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and to the nearby US states of Seattle and Washington.

By then many Kingdom citizens entered into the fulltime ministry, particularly in Toronto, further speeding up the Kingdom’s expansion throughout Canada – as Kingdom workers were farmed out to various provinces to start the work there as missionaries. By then, the Kingdom had already purchased a couple of properties in Canada – the Kingdom Worship Center Compound in Vancouver’s neighboring city, Surrey, which houses a Worship Center, as well as a workers’ house; and a stately Pastoral House.

Over the years, Pastor Apollo has regularly visited the sons and daughters of Canada, touring the various congregations about three times a year, holding special Thanksgiving and Worship Presentations all over this expansive country.

First National Canada Convention

  His 2007 tour, aptly titled the King is Coming Tour-Canada, coincided with the first National Canada Convention, which brought together droves of Kingdom citizens from all over the country for the very first time – to the Canada Headquarters in Surrey.

Sons and daughters from all over Vancouver and neighboring cities West and North Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey, including nearby US states Seattle and Washington hosted the event – which was attended by Kingdom citizens from the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba.

The Convention opened with a parade by the delegates around the compound, and a welcome program which featured presentations from each of the Kingdom Locale Congregations.

The opening ceremonies were doubly significant for the delegates because they had the opportunity to sing “live” with the Kingdom musicians who had come with the Appointed Son all the way from the New Jerusalem.

The opening ceremonies kicked off the ball games that followed all throughout the afternoon.

The following days were spent with special seminars, training, and a tour of Victoria Island and Butchart Gardens with the Appointed Son.

Victorious Gathering Of Sons And Daughters

The Convention culminated in the highlight of Pastor Apollo’s visit to Vancouver and Surrey, which was the Special Thanksgiving and Worship Presentation at the Kingdom Worship Center Compound in Surrey attended by a crowd that could barely be accommodated inside the Worship Center.

On June 3, 2007, Canada witnessed the mighty flow of the Father’s presence as never before!

Lives were changed. Hearts were touched. Bodies were healed. Testimonies kept on pouring in from Kingdom Citizens who came, not only from Vancouver, but also from Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Winnipeg and even from Everett, Washington.

Pastor Apollo was welcomed by an enthusiastic response of sons and daughters who expressed joy with the freedom and deliverance that they have received. He reiterated man’s pressing need for salvation – a basic truth that all nations and creed submit themselves to.

The widespread spiritual hunger that haunted Filipinos, Chinese, Japanese, Germans, Indonesians, Pakistanis, French, Italians, Dutch, Scandinavians, Ukrainians, Jewish and Greek was filled that day. The harvest had indeed broken through in this part of the world.

Ontario: Mississauga, Toronto and Ottawa

Ontario, which lies in Canada’s Central area, was the next stop for Pastor Apollo, particularly Mississauga, which lies in the Greater Toronto Area, considered the most populous area in all of Canada, and also Ottawa, Canada’s capital city.

The Kingdom’s work in Mississauga is an offshoot of the Toronto Chapter, which was organized after the Vancouver and Surrey chapters. The Toronto Chapter has become very fruitful, producing many faithful and committed full-time workers and Kingdom warriors, who have been instrumental in setting up the Kingdom’s work in Canada’s other provinces.

In 2006, the Kingdom acquired another worker’s house, a lovely 3-storey house with a full garden of fruit-bearing trees, at the heart of Toronto. It is the residence of the Kingdom’s warriors who are involved in winning souls for the great harvest.

Mississauga became a point of interest for the Kingdom because of the many Filipinos who came to attend the thanksgiving worship presentations in Toronto. Home of the Pearson International Airport, Mississauga is a prime port of entry for both tourists and businessmen entering Canada. It has also attracted many Filipinos and other Asian peoples, who found many viable employment opportunities during the last five years or so.

So when the Son came to Mississauga to preach for the first time, the work in Mississauga was ripe, and ready for the harvest. Kingdom citizens and guests came from all over the Greater Toronto area, including cities like York, Halton, Peel and Durham, not to mention the city of Toronto itself, just to bask in the light of the Son and receive his salvation message.

The reaction was overwhelming – reflecting the people’s profound need for true worship. As they took in everything that Pastor Apollo revealed to them, people cried and worshipped unabashedly, for they had tasted of the Almighty Father’s presence for the first time in their lives.

The yearning for genuine worship is something that runs through each of the cities that Pastor Apollo visited. In Ottawa, the venue at the Ottawa Congress Centre reverberated with the sound of praises that came from the spiritual gut of those who received Pastor Apollo’s offer of salvation by surrendering the serpent seed.

Because of this, the Kingdom’s work in Ottawa, with its splendid landscape of castles and historical buildings, with the historic Ottawa River and Rideau waterways winding through and around the city, shows much promise as one that will blossom as a leading sentinel of the Kingdom Nation in Canada, producing many sons and daughters for the Almighty Father’s use in the dynamic expansion of the Kingdom work in Canada.

Quebec: Montreal and Quebec City

Physically, Montreal has successfully melded the old and new worlds. Buildings and communities that date back from the French occupation of this part of Canada co-exist with skyscrapers, and ultra- modern business districts. Many such samples of French colonial architecture are found in many factories, mills and church buildings which in particular have been beautifully preserved and restored, reflecting its former glory as a centre of old world religion in North America. Interestingly, despite this, studies show that religiosity is low in the city. In fact, it is the lowest in Canada.

This explained for the depth of the spiritual hunger that the Appointed Son of God addressed in the multi-racial crowd that tightly packed the Marriott Chateau Champlain in Montreal. The Son expounded on the failure of religion to provide a cure for the malady of sin, which is the serpent seed, and how their form of worship had been phased out. His preaching immediately filled the deep spiritual longing in his listeners, who for the first time had worshipped in spirit and in truth.

The Son’s entrance in Montreal cast the light of the Day of the Lord over the city, establishing a new order over the old, where the old structures of religion ceased to have power over those who sought the true worship to the Almighty Father.

Manitoba: Winnipeg

Coming for the first time to Winnipeg, capital of Manitoba, one of Canada’s three prairie provinces, located in the center of Canada, with Ontario to the east and Saskatchewan to the west, Pastor Apollo and the members of the crusade team were warmly received by the Filipino community headed by Consul General Edda Pangilinan at the Pampanga Restaurant.

In a cozy dinner, the large group gathered around the Son and communicated their openness to what spiritual wisdom he would be imparting to them. This, despite the fact that most of them had never heard him preach before. Later, Pastor Apollo prayed for the restaurant’s owner, Lourdes Miranda.

But the warm reception was not surprising for weeks before, the Winnipeg Filipino community’s local paper, Ang Peryodiko, already disseminated the invitation of the Kingdom’s concert crusade.

Their sincerity in receiving new spiritual knowledge was honored by the Almighty Father when they all filled the Canad Inn.to the last seat during the Thanksgiving and Worship Presentation. Many of those who attended were in their mature years, having thus gone through the rote of churchgoing in various religious groups. Observing them from behind the cameras as they listened to Pastor Apollo, it was apparent to this writer that in them the old patterns of religious ritual and devotion were right there and then being replaced by a new paradigm of worship and relationship to the Almighty Father, the Creator of all.

The Consul General, Mrs. Edda Pangilinan, a Capangpangan like Pastor Apollo, was especially touched by the encounter with Pastor Apollo and his preaching. “I’m really overwhelmed and honored – this is the first time that I felt that the spirit was with me, she said. “The first time I met him it was dinner. I can’t believe I said, ‘maybe I’ll become one of your ministers.’

Stating her surrender to the Almighty Father, through the Son, she added, “He connected us to God – He told us to receive God willingly …It touched my whole life, that Jesus is with me. He is the anointed one who is giving us all these things. As the Son of God, he delivers everything to us now …. Now I surrender everything to Him,” she said.

The Consul later announced her plan to personally organize a special Thanksgiving and Worship Presentation within the year in a much bigger venue and invite the entire Filipino community.

The reception by Winnipegers of Pastor Apollo as the Appointed Son of God and as one of their very own put Winnipeg in a very special place in the Almighty Father’s heart - a fount for the creating of new sons and daughters.

And as if to stress this point, Pastor Apollo and the crusade team traveled around the city the day after the Thanksgiving and Worship Presentation, to survey possible locations for the establishment of Kingdom Compounds in Winnipeg. The Kingdom is set to purchase compounds with spacious areas for worship gatherings, particularly those that will provide good parking areas.

Alberta: Calgary

When Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy entered Calgary for the first time, to preach to the Kingdom Citizens and the sympathizers and walk-in guests who had flooded the Cartier Room at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Calgary, every word that flowed from the mouth of the Appointed Son tore down the ramparts of the serpent seed in the hearts and minds of his listeners.

As Pastor Apollo elaborated on the significance of the Day of the Lord in the lives of those who seek true deliverance from sin, it was clear that those who heard this message for the first time were ready to sign up for their salvation from the serpent seed.

The Calgarians showed they were no different from the thousands of souls that had come before the Father in repentance and complete surrender during the Canadian King is Coming Tour – no matter what race, creed, educational background, or religious orientation, all desired one thing - a return to the Paradise – where the curse of sin has no more power to destroy their lives.
