If you have faith to believe, you will receive a miracle. Everything that comes from the Word of God can only be received by faith.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

You must believe that He is God! But where is God?  You cannot see Him. The Bible says in John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” So when you deal with God, you deal with something that you cannot see.  You cannot see a spirit or the things of the spirit because these are invisible. As a human being, you only understand the things that your five senses tell you. You believe that this is being very realistic.

Well, let me tell you that there are things that you do not see that are very real, such as the wind and the air.  Air is real but you do not see air.  How about your brain?  I do not see your brain; you do not see my brain.  But you believe that you have a brain. 

Many people are brainless, or should I say, faithless, because they do not believe in the things they do not see although we can explain that these things are as real as the ground beneath their feet. 

In the same way, you cannot see God but He is real! And He is the One who created you.

Do you believe that you came from God?  The Bible tells us that we were created in God’s image. (Genesis 1:27)  We believe this to be true because this is what His Word says. This is the meaning of faith. Faith believes in the things that we do not see simply because God tells us it is so. 

So we come to the knowledge of the truth that God is true and we have no need to prove whatever God says!  We only have to believe! That is faith. 

The Miracle of Faith

I do not understand how by a miracle the Red Sea was parted. I do not understand how cancer could disappear from your body when a miracle touches you. I do not understand the miracle of plenty, how a person you have never met before could give you one million pesos and not even wish to be known by you. I do not understand how that could happen, but I call it a miracle.

I don’t understand how Peter could go into the ocean, fish all night and all day and catch nothing. But when Jesus Christ came and said, “Cast in your nets,” Peter drew in a hundred fifty-six baby tunas.  I do not understand how that could happen and neither do you, but do you believe in it? If you have the capacity to believe in it, it will happen to you.

Many of you are Christians, and you have heard the story of how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.  I do not understand how the Word of God could come and reach into the dark corners of the grave to touch a dead body and bring it to life. I do not understand that and neither do you. Doctors do not understand that either, but I believe it happened. It is a miracle!

Is there some part of your body that is dying of tumor, of cancer, of a disease and it is dragging you down to the inevitable? You know you will die one day. Your senses are telling you that.  But the Word of God is here to touch you right now, as it had touched the dead body of Lazarus, and you will come to life!

The Word of God says, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63) As long as you have an ear to hear, listen carefully to the Word of God that I am speaking to you because the words I speak to you, are words coming through me from the Father and you will be healed.  If you can believe!

There is an account in the Word of God where the Syrian General, Naaman, came to find the prophet of God, Elisha.  Naaman was leprous and he had heard that there was a prophet in Israel whose words were powerful because they came from God. 

Now, the instructions the prophet gave to Naaman for his healing were very, very simple, yet profound.   He sent his servant to tell the General to dip into the River Jordan seven times.  But Naaman complained, saying, “Why is he sending me to the River Jordan? Why can’t he send me to the River Parpar or the River Acaba where the water is crystal clear?  The River Jordan is very muddy. ”

“Well,” the servant said, “if you want to be healed, you must obey his words.” So Naaman humbled himself and followed Elisha’s instructions.  And at the seventh dip, the skin of Naaman’s body became that of a little child. He was healed! (2Kings 5:1-14)

These things seem to be great in our eyes—the healing, the dead being raised! These are indeed great miracles, but let me tell you of a miracle that is even greater.  The greatest miracle is not the dead being raised.  It is not the cancer in your body that is healed.  It is not somebody giving you one million dollars and telling you, “Forget me after this.’  There is something greater than catching fish where you had caught none for one night and one day. The greatest miracle is when the Father speaks to you and saves you.

The Seed of the Spirit

Do you believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God in the Jewish setting is the Savior? The Jewish people had a very different perspective of a Savior.  They had been in bondage all their lives and they were crying for a Messiah who would save them from physical bondage. But the Father’s perspective is that the greatest bondage is not physical bondage, but is spiritual bondage. It is the bondage that comes from within. 

In the beginning, before God could create man perfectly into His own image by giving us His spirit, Satan came in and deceived Adam and Eve.   God’s plan was thwarted as sin came into the world. 

You see, man is not the only being who has a seed; a spirit also has a seed.  A man becomes a father when he implants his physical seed into the womb of his wife.   It creates within her a physical life. 

God, our Father, who is a spirit, also has a seed. But His seed is incorruptible.  It is called the Word of God.

When Satan told Eve, “Did God say you will die? No, you will not die! You will become gods like Him,” he implanted within Eve the spirit of disobedience.  Satan taught us how to disobey and his seed has been implanted inside us ever since. From the time of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, everyone born of the flesh will inherit that serpent seed whether they like it or not.

This is very shocking. It means directly or indirectly, you are a child of the devil.  It is from this seed that Jesus Christ came to save us.  But before He can implant His incorruptible seed within us, He has to remove the serpent seed first. 

As the chosen people, the Jewish people were the ones promised heaven, the covenants, and all of the Father’s promises.  They believed that as a Jew, they would go directly to heaven when they died.  No questions asked. This was the Jewish mentality. 

But God was far from finished when He created man at the beginning of Creation. He needed to complete man through the Savior but they rejected Him when He told them that they needed to be born again in the spirit and receive the seed of God before they can enter into His Kingdom. 

Tell a Jew that, and he will kill you because the Jews believe that as the chosen people, they are children of God.  They said, “Why are you telling us this?   Abraham is our Father. God is our Father.” But Jesus Christ told them the blunt truth in John 8, “God is not your Father. The devil is your Father.”

A Spiritual Solution to a Spiritual Problem

When they rejected Him, Jesus Christ came to us, the Gentiles. We received His message of salvation, but receiving Him is not enough.  You might say, “O really, Pastor? It’s not enough for me to be a Christian? I have received Jesus Christ as my Savior. I was baptized and I am faithful to my religion, is that not enough?” 

This is exactly the complaint of the Jewish people.  How could it not be enough when they had a nice religion? They attended synagogue diligently every Sabbath. They were faithful in their rituals. But Jesus Christ told them, “No, that is not enough for you to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Our Father looked at us and He saw that within us is the serpent seed that needed to be removed.  But no one could remove it because it was a spiritual problem and it needed a spiritual solution.

Power and wealth could not solve it.  Neither could religion or denomination. Attending five religions would not solve it because even Satan could imitate what you are doing as a Christian. He can be baptized. He can speak in tongues. He can come to church in a suit and a tie or a barong.  He could look holier than you.  He can carry two Bibles in different versions.  He can give an offering much, much more than you could give. He can be pious. He could use his knees to walk from the door to the altar.  Satan could imitate all that.  But there is one thing that Satan cannot do.  Satan cannot repent.  So when Jesus the Savior came down, He let the Jews be with their religious rituals, but He brought them a message, simple but profound. He said, “Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

What will you surrender when you come and repent? You surrender that serpent seed that the devil had put within you.   

Remember how the Ford Motor Corporation asked customers to surrender all their 1991 models because of a defect in it?   They promised to replace it. Ford could not change the defective 1991 models if the owners do not surrender those models first.  

In the same way, anyone who does not surrender to the Father cannot be changed.  You can only be changed when you cooperate.  Come to the Father and say, “Father I really do not want this. This is not the way you wanted me to be in Creation. I am faulty.  So I come here to surrender and to repent of the serpent seed within me.”

When you do that, He will take that seed of sin away by a miracle. I do not understand how that happens but it happens anyway because John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” He says this because you are a child of the devil and you do not have the power to change yourself.   

Only the Ford makers know how to change the defect in those 1991 models.  And only God knows how to change you because He has the manual. He was the One who created you!  When you come to Him, repent, cooperate and say,  “From now on, Father, not my will but Your will be done in my life,” the power of sin is broken. The yoke of bondage within you, which is spiritual in nature, is shattered.  I do not understand it but it is by a miracle that it happens and it is by faith that you believe it. 

Then a new seed is planted within you. This is the seed of God.  It is an incorruptible seed because it is sown incorruptible.  It is a spiritual seed and it will create a spiritual life within you.  In this, I am your example. 

The Appointed Son

I was appointed for this ministry.  When the Father called me I was already a great evangelist in my denomination and I was preaching all over the Philippines and all over the world!  I thought it was enough, but while in Korea, I heard a voice say, “I will use you.” 

When I heard this, the first question I asked the Father was, “Why will you use me when you are already using me?” I did not understand that this was the ministry that He was talking about at that time. And then He brought me to our Covenant Prayer Mountain in Tamayong, Davao City, where the Father isolated me for five years so that He could teach me what I am teaching you today.

He took me from the mold of religion and denomination and told me, “Son, that is not enough! I want you to deliver to them the true message.”  And I am bringing that message to you today.  This is the message that in the Gentile setting, Jesus Christ is the Father. I am His Son. You too can become His sons and daughters.

Why am I His Son?

In the early 70’s, the Father brought me to a mountain, called Mt. Kitbog.  There, for one year, He erased all the doubts in my mind and answered every question that I had until I was certain that it was not the devil tricking me.  You see, I doubted that it was God calling me.  I thought that it was the devil trying to deceive me.  But in Mt. Kitbog, I was finally convinced that it was truly the Father calling me.  And when I was convinced, He told me, “Now it is your decision to reject me or to follow me.”

So I weighed everything in the balance of eternity.   Which was weightier to me? This life that I had in my denomination, where they treated me like a prince, or this call from the Father.

In my denomination, I had a beautiful American sweetheart.  For a Filipino to be offered to marry a girl from the United States, and to be sent to school in America, is like being offered heaven.

Then I read in the Scriptures that Moses rejected Egypt with all its riches and wealth combined and he chose the sufferings of the children of God.  So I said, “Father, I choose eternity.”  And that was when all the problems began in my life. 

If you think that when you truly repent and receive the Father as your Savior, everything is going to be a bed of roses after that. You are gravely mistaken.

All my problems started after I surrendered to Him. Then, He brought me to another mountain, Tamayong. That is where our Covenant Prayer Mountain is today. Today, you will see it as ten beautiful hectares, like a paradise.  But when I was brought there twenty years ago, it was only a one-hectare lot. And it was hell.  All the demons were unleashed to try my dedication and my commitment. I went through the test of loyalty. There was also the test of obedience, the test of commitment. There was the test of endurance and the testing in the flesh. There was the testing in power and the trial of money.  And the testing was so severe. I called it the furnace of my affliction. But I stood and I said, “Father I will stay with you. I will follow you.”

I ate bananas for five years.  Can you imagine that? It’s a wonder why I don’t look like a monkey. You can ask me how to cook bananas, and I will tell you one million and one different ways to cook bananas.  My instruction from the Holy Father at that time was to stay within that one-hectare lot.  I was not even allowed to venture onto the boundary.  It was there in that small place that the spiritual laws were going to be applied.  All the demonic forces that I would be meeting would be met there where they had to be destroyed.   They had to be overcome before He could send me as a bona fide Son of God, Son of the Father, into the world.

This is how I learned the will of the Holy Father that before He can accept you as a Son, you have to undergo all of these processes of growth. You have to overcome your immaturity and your irresponsibility. You have to go to the level of maturity where your heart is fixed, your mind is made up, and you could say, ‘I am now ready even to die for You.’

Jesus Christ in the Jewish setting as the Son of God was my model because He became my Father in the Gentile setting. I became His Son because His seed was implanted within me.  When I passed all the trials and testing with flying colors, my Father told me, “You are My Son.”

In the perspective of God, in the mentality of the spirit of the Father, you will never be adopted as His child unless you have overcome your immaturity and have stood up for Him loyally through all of the tests. You will never be adopted unless you know His business, which is the business of saving. In the normal adoption process, you would adopt a child that is not your own.  But in the adoption process of God, even if you come from your father biologically, you will not be adopted as a son or daughter unless you have proven yourself.  If you are not adopted, you will remain a child.

When the Father told me, “You are my Son,” I knew that I had been adopted.  Then He sent me into the world, saying, “I have children wherever you go. You don’t know them. They don’t know you. But when they hear you, they will listen to you because my sheep know my voice and they will follow you.”

The Soul’s Needs for Salvation

As I had decided whether or not to serve the Father, you will also have the privilege of deciding.   Accept it, surrender, and then you will be given a new mind and a new spirit so that the creation work of the Father in His salvation will be finished in you.  He put me here as your model. If I was able to do it, you can do it also.

Did you know that you have a soul? You don’t see your soul, but your soul needs the salvation of God. 

In Luke 16, there is an account of two men—one was rich, and the other, Lazarus, was very poor.  He was so poor that dogs came to lick the wounds that covered his body.

But the rich man was so rich. He was clothed in fine linen and purple and he ate sumptuous meals everyday.  Lazarus lay under his table and ate from the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. The story goes on to say that both Lazarus and the rich man died. This is what will happen to all people, both rich and poor. Now, when Lazarus died, angels came and brought Him to paradise. But when the rich man died, he woke up in the torments of the fires of hell.

Seeing Lazarus afar off, the rich man called and said, “Father Abraham, send Lazarus over here.  Let him dip the tip of his fingers in water to cool my tongue because it is so hot where I am. I am in torment.” But Abraham said, “Son when you were alive, you received good things and Lazarus evil things. Now, he is comforted and you are tormented.”

And the rich man said, “If that cannot be so, Father Abraham, send him to my father’s house. I still have five brothers who are alive. Let him preach there.  Perhaps, if he rises from the dead and preaches in my father’s house, they will repent.”  But Abraham said, “No! If they will not listen to the prophet that I have sent there today, they will not listen even if somebody comes from the dead.”

This is the reality of the soul! When you die, your soul separates from your body. It is the soul that faces God in judgment, as both Lazarus and the rich man did.  The body remains on earth.

As long as your soul is in your body you have the power to decide to receive salvation or not.  Your soul needs the seed of righteousness that is of God. And this is what I am bringing to you through this message today.  Praise the Lord!
