| October 3, 2010, Burnaby City, British Columbia |
It was a damp, rainy Sunday in Metrotown District. Quite a lazy weekend for commuters, but not for Kingdom Citizens who, as early as 9 o’clock in the morning picked their invited guests for the special thanksgiving and worship presentation of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, the Name Above Every Name at the Hilton Metrotown Vancouver in Burnaby, British Columbia. They came from as far as Richmond, Coquitlam, Surrey, Kelowna, Langley, Abbotsford, Bellingham, Maple Ridge and Vancouver for a very important appointment they’ll ever make in their lives, and finding their way to true salvation.
The Appointed Son of God, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy visits different congregations in the Philippines and abroad annually a to proclaim the message of the Kingdom. Earlier this year, from the New Jerusalem, Davao City, Philippines, Pastor Apollo and his team of musicians and TV production crew embarked on a concert tour in the United States of America. This season, just before the year comes to a close, the trip, dubbed as the “King is Coming Tour,” headed to Canada.
For more than ten years that the Kingdom has been established in the world’s second largest country, the spiritual conquest was rapid. From Vancouver, the largest metropolitan area in Western Canada, many other chapters have also been launched in the surrounding provinces. In 2007, there have already been Kingdom Light Congregations in Mississauga and Toronto in Ontario, Edmonton in Alberta, Winnipeg in Manitoba, Montreal in Quebec, and in Sasketchawan, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. |

This 2010, British Columbia hosted the first stop of the King is Coming Tour in Canada with its newest Kingdom Sentinel, Burnaby. Inside the Hilton Metrotown Vancouver Hotel, hundreds of Kingdom Citizens gathered in an electrifying mode of worship through Kingdom songs and the anointed preaching of the Appointed Son of God, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
“Religion and denomination cannot save you,” Pastor Apollo declared. “It is only when we repent, say to the Father, not my will, but Your will be done in my life, that we can be totally delivered from sin.”

This is the message that Yvonne Mugambira was looking for. “I was so impressed. I have been looking for a group that talks about the real Jesus, and now I found Him through this man.” Mugambira, together from her family who came from Rwanda have migrated to Canada, and have discovered about the Kingdom through the television ministry of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, which is broadcasted via Sonshine Media Network International.
“He said something relevant about life and I liked it,” Mugambira added.
Pastor Apollo spoke about repentance which is not a religious ritual, but one that entails a spiritual transformation. Agustin Ovono, from Equatorial Guinea, said, “What interests me is that he spent five years in the mountain experiencing the will of God. If you’re not really chosen, and if you’re not really genuine, you’ll never last that long.”
Many others like Mugambira and Ovono received enlightenment that day. The thanksgiving and worship presentation in Burnaby gathered a colorful crowd of Canadians, Asians, Africans and other ethnicities in Canada.
“I’m proud that a Filipino has come to this place, a leader of 6 million members. I hope that he would reach far,” says Irene Yatco, a Filipino community leader and a candidate of the Member of the Parliament for Vancouver East. |

The thanksgiving and worship presentation ended with the crowd singing and dancing to the the song, “Sifa” (Praise in Swahili), popularized during the 14th International Kingdom Leaders Convention and the 25th Kingdom Anniversary. It was a delightful moment that Pastor Apollo spent with the crusade team from the Philippines as well as the Kingdom Citizens who have waited for this moment to happen.
Burnaby is ready for the harvest, as many other cities and provinces around Canada are waiting for the picking. The Almighty Father has brought the light of salvation through the message of His Appointed Son to the world’s second largest country, and will gather more from the ends of the earth in just a moment of time. |
