Hundreds of families in Davao City join Pastor Apollo 's Birthday celebration in Sonshine Land. Children and families experience the magical world filled with never-ending surprises and fun when  the gates of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, the Name Above Every Name in Davao City were opened last April 25.

For six years now, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy has been celebrating his birthday by throwing big birthday bash to all Filipino children.  And this year, it’s not only the children who enjoyed but the whole family—including the mommies and the daddies.

Sonshine Land is a wish come true to the children, especially those who were born poor and who have not experienced their “special day”. There were different booths that dot Sonshine Land fairgrounds.  Free Ice cream overflowed same with the popcorn, baskets of bread, candies, the juices, the packs of milk and party foods such as chicken, spaghetti and cake.

There’s also a parade, there was the choochoo train, the Swan, the multicolored fish and David Axel  aboard the fighter plane.  Kids had their faces painted with colorful images, enjoyed the puppet show some met life-sized dinosaurs at the Dino Pen.

Moreover, The Sonshine Land has been replicated to different provinces and cities.  It has also reached Mindanao, inflicting huge smiles on the faces of the thousands of children from General Santos City, Zamboanga City, Agusan del Sur, Mati and Cagayan de Oro City.

In the Visayas were unforgettable birthday stories from the children in Aklan and Tacloban, Leyte. There were also large parties that took place simultaneously in Cebu, Iloilo and in Bacolod.

In Luzon, thousands of squatter-based children in the National Capital Region were chosen to have a day of fun and excitement.  Pastor Apollo also made dreams come true to the children in La Trinidad, Benguet; the Aetas of Pampanga, also in Bauang, La Union, Cauayan, Isabela, Calamba, Laguna, Cavite and Mindoro.

This grand birthday celebration of Pastor Apollo every April 25 has been a tradition and has become a demonstration of the life that Pastor Apollo wants for our countrymen.   A life where they can have fun, where their needs are met, where they are free to dream, and realize that dream.
